The Tale of Spring Hollow Mill
Like many good stories, ours begins at the kitchen table—with a small, stubborn toddler and two tired parents trying to make vegetables seem exciting. Each morning brought the same question: “Can I have a cookie for breakfast?” And each morning, we wondered if there was a better way to feed our family—something simple, nourishing, and actually enjoyed.
One day, a kind neighbor brought over a batch of homemade muffins. Sweetened with honey and made from flour she milled herself at home, they were soft, fragrant, and, to our surprise, devoured without hesitation. We were curious.
What was it about this flour?
We started digging in and discovered the quiet magic of freshly milled grains—rich in flavor, full of nutrients, and a far cry from the lifeless powder on store shelves. So we bought a mill, rolled up our sleeves, and started experimenting. We were not expert bakers—far from it—but we learned as we went, one loaf and one lumpy pancake at a time.
Slowly, our kitchen filled with the smell of real bread, and our table filled with food our kids actually wanted to eat. We shared our bakes with neighbors, then at the local market. People noticed something different—something better.
“It’s the flour!” we told them.
Word spread, and soon others were asking to try it themselves. That’s when Spring Hollow Mill found its purpose—not just baking, but helping people reconnect with real ingredients and the joy of making something from scratch.
Today, we are proud to share the same fresh flour that changed how we feed our family. We believe good food does not need to be complicated. It just needs to start with something real.
Once you have baked with fresh flour, you will taste the difference. And like us, you might not go back.
